Most people find it difficult to deal with
situations where they feel that they
are
not in control. This leads to increased
anger
and rage. We see this in road rage,
in relationship
problems and generalized anger situations.
The individual tries to take control
by becoming
aggressive and gets angry, sometimes
hostile
and violent.

STEPS TO DECREASE ANGER
1) Breathe in deeply and hold your breath
for the count of four.Exhale slowly.
Do this
five times.
2) Think of this situation as being
only
a passing in time and say to yourself
"Will
this be important in two years from
now,
in one year from now, in two months
from
now. Will this situation mean anything
to
me tomorrow."
3) Now see yourself as being 10 feet
tall
and the problem at hand being the size
of
a small notebook. Say to yourself "I
am a giant and this thing that makes
me angry
is a very small insignificant item."
4) Laugh at yourself for getting angry
at
something so small and unimportant.
5) Repeat these steps until the anger
goes
away and you feel happy and important.
6) Say to yourself "Good going,
I must
be important because this did not bother
me at all."
7) You are on the first step to conquering
your anger.
